This tool is for calculating bearing capacity and elastic settlement of the pile foundation group, as shown in the figure above.
In ordinary situations, the center-to-center spacing d is between 3D and 3.5D.
Los Angeles Group Action equation is used to calculate the group efficiency η.
If the group efficiency η>1, the group piles will behave as individual piles, and η is set equal to 1.
The bearing capacity of the group piles is obtained by accumulating all the single piles, and the ultimate bearing capacity of a single pile Q
is needed for input.
