Tips

• This tool is for obtaining physical and mechanical properties of soils through the standard penetration test (SPT), as shown in the figure above.
• All the input parameters should be positive.
• The unit weight of water is 9.8 kN/m³, and the atmospheric pressure is 100 kPa.
• Be aware of the depth of the evaluation point D₃ (in sand layer or in clay layer).
• The relative density D_r and the drained friction angle φ′ are for sand. The undrained shear strength c_u and the overconsolidation ratio OCR are for clay.
• The mean grain size D₅₀ is only needed for sand and used for calculating the relative density D_r by Cubrinovski & Ishihara Method.
• For "nan", "0" or "inf" displayed in Results, please check your input parameters.
